Counselling
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy that allows a person to talk freely about their problems in a confidential, non- judgemental setting. A Counsellor is trained to listen with empathy and can help you to deal with any negative thoughts and feelings that you may have. Counselling can help you to cope with a bereavement or relationship breakdown, a medical diagnosis, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, feeling more confident and to have a more positive outlook on life.
Counselling can be a short-term therapy or a long-term therapy dependant on the initial issue.
Bereavement
Loosing someone that we love is an inevitable life process. Grieving is unique and a personal experience, because no two people grieve in the same way. Grief can affect the way that we feel, think and our physical and mental health. The early weeks after a bereavement can be the most challenging. You may feel anxious, tearful, feeling low and finding difficulty sleeping. It is during this time that our emotions can seem overloaded on grief, leaving little time or space for anything else. If you recognise these feelings and would like to talk them through, please get in touch and we can work together to lift the fog and put you in a better place.

Relationship Issues
Most adults spend a large part of their life in a relationship. Relationships are potentially very satisfying and improve our physical and mental health. However, they are not without their challenges. There can be a wide range of problems that can cause issues within relationships. There may be arguments, power struggles, jealousy, depression, anxiety, addictions, sexual problems and work-related stress. Sometimes the issues are so entwined it is hard to see what is causing the problem. By talking through the issues with an independent person, resolution can be found.
